Farm Real Estate Management Services

Farm Management Doesn’t Have to Be Complicated or Expensive

So, you have inherited a farm, now what?  Thinking of hiring a farm manager?  Worried you don’t know what to do, how to care for it, not sure you have the time or understand your obligations?  Maybe you want to maximize your return but not sure where to start?  We offer the most flexible and economical solution to help heirs to family farms learn and find their way through becoming a landowner whether it’s for a long term or just a short time.

It is important to have a partner on your side that can help guide you through the decisions and ownership obligations. We are licensed land brokers and land auction professionals.  It makes us uniquely qualified to help you manage the tasks necessary to own land from finding renters, rental agreements to compliance.  We have extensive expertise with farm real estate and farming practices so we do offer a myriad of farm real estate and consulting services that are appropriate for our client relationships.

Our approach allows landowners to be involved as much or as little as they desire.  From à la carte, and one-off service or a fully managed relationship with you, we can help you manage the asset you own very economically. One thing we do not do is assist with land acquisition unless we have a buyer agency relationship outside of any single seller agency relationship, we are already participating in.  This policy does not allow us to represent buyers of land  for farms we are selling by auction.  This ensures we are always free of any self-interests and our sellers are always protected in safe transactions.

The Right Relationships

It is important that we ensure our allegiance to land owners, family farms, and heirs of family farms.  DreamDirt has prided itself in being the “Voice of Family Farms”  In 2017 we launched our “Self-managed, Fully Guided” farm management service for our clients.  The approach was an instant success and remains a very popular service to those using it. Our self-managed farm management clients tend to be intermediate to short-term land owners.  Often, they are heirs to family farms and while the concept isn’t foreign to them, they need somebody on their side to help them understand and make decisions, participate in or complete certain tasks, and provide information or complete research.
