My experience as a Missouri Land Broker has given me a great appreciation for the importance of agriculture in Missouri. As I’ve focused exclusively on selling farmland, I have seen up close how effective an auction can be at getting the best possible price for a farm. Today, more farms sell by auction than by private offer because auctions often result in higher offers for the right farms.
So when DreamDirt Founder Jason Smith, CAI, offered me the opportunity to join DreamDirt Farm and Ranch Real Estate as the real estate broker for Missouri, I signed on immediately. The company’s excellent track record in selling farmland, hunting land and farm assets — at auction and in private offer transactions — was a perfect fit for me.
I fully understood the competitive advantage DreamDirt brings to Missouri with its exceptional marketing approach that combines the best of tried-and-true marketing methods with today’s cutting edge digital advertising tools. The company’s prominence also attracts the attention of investors with a focus on midwestern farmland. These factors result in more competition for your land, which translates into a higher sales price. Most of all, you’ll have the peace of mind that comes with knowing your family’s investment was well represented.
DreamDirt works hard to bring outside attention to farmland auctions, with online bidding and even a dedicated smartphone app. Our advanced online advertising capabilities enable us to target advertising to reach the right bidders at the right time, with detailed tracking and reporting. You will know where your farm is being advertised, and why, and what results to expect. Indeed, these new techniques in advertising and tracking parallel the advances of precision farming.
My focus on farmland and hunting land was a no-brainer in a state that has nearly 100,000 farms covering more than 27,000 square miles — about two-thirds of the state’s land. Clearly, agriculture is big business in Missouri. To be sure, Missouri farmers grow a lot of corn and soybeans, but the state is also the sixth biggest producer of rice and eighth largest in cotton. Plus, the state is also a major producer of cattle, hogs, chickens, turkeys and other livestock.
The diverse geography of Missouri makes our state perfect for everything from growing crops and livestock to big bucks and brown trout. The production of gas and oil and other minerals continues to grow, and I can’t think of any better place to build your dream home overlooking the beautiful rural landscape of the Midwest. Missouri land truly is in demand more than ever today.
DreamDirt’s experience and success at guiding all types of sellers through the process of successfully marketing and selling estates and land holdings has made the company a market leader in the sale of all types of agricultural and recreational land. While we sell farms for many different types of sellers, we understand the challenges on both a personal and business level. DreamDirt has successfully represented hundreds of millions of dollars in family farm transactions at auction or by listing with emphasis on telling the story, honoring the years of ownership and the family history to help you find the next person to care for the farm into the future.
