Iowa Farmland Prices June 10th – 16th, 2023 Report

A total of 1,853 acres were sold in Iowa this week. The average price per acre for the 21 land auctions is $12,768.95/acre and $163.77/CSR2 point. Learn more about CSR2.

How much is farmland in Iowa worth currently?

This week’s top-selling farm is 108 acres in Clay County, IA which sold on June 15th. This farm sold by live and online auction at the Royal Community Center and is located North of Royal, Iowa. The farm was split into two tracts. Tract 1 which consist of 80 acres sold for $21,200/acre and has a 91.3 CSR2 which totals to be $232.20/CSR2. Tract 2 of 28 acres sold for $20,250/acre and has a 96.7 CSR2. Check out Rachel’s video at the end of the blog to see aerials of the farms. 

The second highest selling farm that sold this week went to 79 acres in Grundy County, Iowa which sold on June 13th for $19,500/acre by a sealed bid private auction. This 100% tillable farm located Southwest of Grundy Center, Iowa has a CSR2 rating of 92.6 which totals to be $210/csr2. 

Third highest selling farm of the week also is located in Grundy County West of Wellsburg, Iowa. This farm sold on June 13th by timed online auction with 5% buyer’s premium for $18,323/acre $201/CSR2 and is 94% tillable farm.
