Iowa Farmland Prices May 20th – 26th, 2023 Report

A total of 1,902.41 acres were sold in Iowa this week. The average price per acre for the 21 land auctions is $13,567/acre and $169.79/CSR2 point. Learn more about CSR2.

How much is farmland in Iowa worth currently?

This week’s top-selling farm is 18 acres in Plymouth County, IA which sold on May 20th. This undeveloped farm is located East of Le Mars, Iowa in city limits, and sold for $29,000/acre. This farm has a 88.1 CSR2 resulting in an outstanding $329.17/CSR2 point and is 96% tillable.

The second farm that sold this week went to 96.33 acres in Plymouth County, Iowa as well which sold on May 26th for 25,000/acre. This 98% tillable farm located SOuth of Oyens, Iowa has a CSR2 rating of 92.7 which totals to be $269.69/csr2.

Third highest selling farm of the week is in Greene County. This farm is split into two tracts and sold on May 26th located Southwest of Jefferson, Iowa. Tract 1 consisting of 80 acres sold for $6,195/acre or $17,550/acre or $199.66/CSR2 and is 98% tillable. Tract 2 consisting of 80 acres followed closely at $16,500/acre.
