Iowa Farmland Prices February 11th – 17th, 2023

A total of 2,524 acres were sold in Iowa this past week. The average price per acre for the 19 land auctions was $11,146/acre and $137.82/CSR2 point. Learn more about CSR2.

Top Selling Farms in Iowa

This week’s top-selling farm was 115.93 acres in Washington County, IA which sold on February 15th. The farm was located Southwest of Washington, Iowa, and sold for $17,200/acre. This farm had a 87.8 CSR2 resulting in a $195.90/CSR2 point by online-only auction.

The next highest-selling farm went to Pocahontas County, Iowa. This 74-acre 100% tillable farm sold for $15,600/acre located Northwest of Manson, IA has a 86.1 CSR2 which totals $181.20/CSR2. This farm was sold by a live auction and online auction at the MAC Center on February 16th.

The third high-selling farm goes to O’Brien County, Iowa as well as Southwest of Sutherland, Iowa. The auction took place on February 15th at the RL Johannsen Center. 160 acres sold for $15,200/acre. This farm has an 93.9 CSR2 rating resulting in a $161.87/CSR2 point.
