Iowa Farmland Prices February 25th – March 3rd, 2023

A total of 1,925.12 acres were sold in Iowa this past week. The average price per acre for the 19 land auctions was $13,147.37/acre and $157.55/CSR2 point. Learn more about CSR2.

Top Selling Farms in Iowa

This week’s top-selling farm was 80.64 acres in Osceola County, IA which sold on March 3rd. The farm was located East of Ashton, Iowa and sold for $21,700/acre. This farm had a 95.6 CSR2 resulting in a $226.98/CSR2 point by live and online auction and was tract two. Tract one was runner-up selling at $18,900/acre which included 72.92 acres with a 94.8 CSR2 rating.

The next highest-selling farm went to Grundy County, Iowa. This 75-acre 100% tillable farm sold for $18,400/acre located Southwest of Grundy Center, IA has a 92.7 CSR2 which totals $198.48/CSR2. This farm was sold by a live auction and online auction on March 1st.

The third high-selling farm goes to Buchanan County, Iowa located Northwest of Coggon, Iowa. The auction took place on March 3rd as a public and online auction. This 154.27 acre farm sold for $17,900/acre. This farm has an 879 CSR2 rating resulting in a $201.12/CSR2 point.
