Iowa Farmland Prices March 4th – 10th, 2023

A total of 976.51 acres were sold in Iowa this past week. The average price per acre for the 27 land auctions was $13,837/acre and $179/CSR2 point. Learn more about CSR2.

Top Selling Farms in Iowa

This week’s top-selling farm was 152.70 acres in Plymouth County, IA which sold on March 10th. The farm was located North of Remsen, Iowa, and sold for $24,000/acre. This farm had a 94.8 CSR2 resulting in a $253.16/CSR2 point. 

The next highest-selling farm went to Lyon County, Iowa. This 78-acre 98% tillable farm sold for $20,500/acre located Northeast of Inwood, IA has a 70 CSR2 which totals $292/CSR2. This farm was sold by a live auction and online auction on March 10th.

The third high-selling farm goes to Monona County, Iowa located southwest of Sloan, Iowa. The auction took place on March 8th. This 80-acre farm sold for $15,200/acre. This farm has an 86.8 CSR2 rating resulting in a $175.12/CSR2 point.
