Before we discuss monthly results for farmland prices, we need to cover the last week of September’s data and top-selling farms. From the table below, you will see that there are 31 land auction results and a total of 2,768.71 acres of farmland sold in Iowa from September 24th through September 30th. The average price per acre of farmland from these land auction results is $13,730.65/acre and $179.37/CSR2 point for 80% or more tillable farms in Iowa.
Top Selling Farmland Auctions in Iowa Greene County $20,600/acre
During the last week of September Greene County, IA was the highest-selling farm with 80 acres selling at $20,600/acre. Runner-up went to 98.1 acres in Linn County, IA that sold for $20,200/acre by the auction method and had a 92.3 CSR2 which totals $218.85/CSR2.
