Average Iowa Land Prices
DreamDirt’s Farmland Market Analyst tracks farmland prices across Iowa to maintain our comparable sales database offering our clients the best most current information available for creating accurate farmland appraisals. This information is collected from other auctioneers and real estate brokers and includes DreamDirt’s transactions. This research supports our land brokers, agents and auctioneers valuation efforts and is offered to you for your research purposes with the understanding you should verify all information you intend to rely on for financial purposes and decision making. December farmland prices in Iowa averaged $7741.06 per acre statewide on all of the sales we collected for the month of December. This accounted for 8203 acres sold with an average CSR2 of 75.62 on each farm. This represents $67,262,306 million dollars in total farmland sales. The average dollars per CSR 2 point for December 2016 was $100.23 which was a reduction of $7.77 from our November land sales report when the average dollars per CSR2 point was $108.00 across Iowa.
