A total of 1,649.07 acres were sold in Iowa this week. The average price per acre for the 17 tracts of land auctions is $12,240/acre and $153.31/CSR2 point. Learn more about CSR2.
How much is farmland in Iowa currently worth?
This week’s top-selling farm went to 89.90 acres in Osceola County Northwest of Melvin, Iowa. This farm was sold by auction on October 12th for $19,700/acre. Soil rating on this farm is 98 CSR2 which calculates to be $201CSR2 poing.
The second highest selling farm that sold this week went to 100 acres in Jefferson County. This high quality farm sold for $16,900/acre and has a 80.8 CSR2 which calculates to be $209/CSR2.
Third highest selling farm of the week sold for $16,800/acre. A 81.66 acre farm in Osceola County sold on October 12th for just over $1.37 million. This 95% tillable farm has a 98 CSR2.
