Iowa Farmland Prices August 12th – 18th, 2023 Report

A total of 2,005 acres were sold in Iowa this week. The average price per acre for the 20 tracts of land auctions is $12,857/acre and $169.05/CSR2 point. Learn more about CSR2.

How much is farmland in Iowa worth currently?

This week’s top-selling farm is 80.8 acres in Osceola County, IA which sold on August 18th by auction. This farm is located North of Ashton, Iowa and sold for $17,200/acre. The CSR2 rating of the farm is 91.9 which totals to be $187/CSR2 point on this 95% tillable farm.

The second highest selling farm that sold this week went to Shelby County west of Earling, IA. 102.75 acres sold for $15,600/acre and is 95% tillable. CSR2 rating on this farm totaled 58.3 which puts sale price $267.58/CSR2.

Third highest selling farm of the week is located in Chickasaw County North of Lawler, IA. this 88.72 acre farm sold for $15,300/acre or $183/CSR2 point.
