Iowa Farmland Prices October 14-20th, 2023 Report

A total of 1,649.07 acres were sold in Iowa this week. The average price per acre for the 7 tracts of land auctions is $12,12.43/acre and $144.50/CSR2 point. Learn more about CSR2.

How much is farmland in Iowa currently worth?

This week’s top-selling farm went to 80 acres in Poweshiek County. This farm was sold by auction on October 18th for $20,500/acre. Soil rating on this farm is 91.3 CSR2 which calculates to be $224.53/CSR2 point.

The second highest selling farm that sold this week went to 90 acres in Black Hawk County. This high quality farm sold for $14,200/acre and has a 88.1 CSR2 which calculates to be $161.18/CSR2.

Third highest selling farm of the week sold for $13,200/acre. A 80 acre farm in Black Hawk County sold on October 18th. This 94% tillable farm has a 87.8 CSR2.
