Iowa Farmland Prices August 26th – September 1st, 2023 Report

A total of 2,194 acres were sold in Iowa this week. The average price per acre for the 22 tracts of land auctions is $13,180/acre and $160.31/CSR2 point. Learn more about CSR2.

How much is farmland in Iowa worth currently?

This week’s top-selling farm went to 159.54 acres in Clay County, IA which sold on August 30th by auction. This farm is located South of Greenville, Iowa and sold for $18,700/acre. The CSR2 rating of the farm is 93.8 which totals to be $199.36/CSR2 point on this 100% tillable farm.

The second highest selling farm that sold this week went to Louisa County North of Winfield, IA.  This 81.04 acre farm sold for $16,950/acre and is 98% tillable. CSR2 rating on this farm totaled 91 which puts sale price $186.26/CSR2.

Third highest selling farm of the week is located in O’Brien County Northeast of Sheldon, IA. This 78.41 acre farm sold for $16,700/acre or $174.50/CSR2 point.
