Iowa Farmland Prices September 23rd-29th, 2023 Report
A total of 1,007.14 acres were sold in Iowa this week. The average price per acre for the 10 tracts of land auctions is $13,975/acre and $172.32/CSR2 point. Learn more about CSR2.
How much is farmland in Iowa currently worth?
This week’s top-selling farm went to two tracts of farmland in Grundy County, IA South of Stout, IA. A total of 148.51 acres sold on September 28th by auction for $21,600/acre. This 100% tillable farm has a 92.2 CSR2 rating which calculates to be $234.27/CSR2.
The second highest selling farm that sold this week went to 47.29 acres in O’Brien County. This high quality farm sold fo r$19,500/acre and has a 96.2 CSR2 which calculates to be $202.70/CSR2.
Third highest selling farm of the week sold for $16,700/acre. A 210.84 acre farm in Buchanan County sold on September 28th for just over $3.2 million. This 100% tillable farm has a 78 CSR2.
