Iowa Farmland Prices September 16th-22nd, 2023 Report
A total of 2,478.29 acres were sold in Iowa this week. The average price per acre for the 23 tracts of land auctions is $12,498.61/acre and $157.36/CSR2 point. Learn more about CSR2.
How much is farmland in Iowa worth currently?
This week’s top-selling farm went to two tracts of farmland in Palo Alto County, IA North of Emmetsburg, IA. A total of 230.81 acres sold on September 21st by auction for $17,500/acre. Tract 1 was 150.81 acres and has a 87.5 CSR2 rating. Tract 2 consisted of 80 acres and has a 83.6 CSR2 rating.
The second highest selling farm that sold this week went to Kossuth County Northwest of St. Josepgh, IA. This 71 acre farm sold for $17,200/acre. CSR2 rating on this farm totaled 85.2 which puts sale price $201.88/CSR2 for this 100% tillable farm.
Third highest selling farm of the week was a neighboring farm to the top selling farm in Palo Alto County. This 79 acre farm sold for $16,500/acre on September 21st as well and hase a 88.1 CSR2 rating totaling $187.29/CSR2.
