A total of 2,209 acres were sold in Iowa this past week. The average price per acre for the 20 land auctions was $10,053.75/acre and $145.42/CSR2 point. Learn more about CSR2.
Top Selling Farms in Iowa
This week’s top-selling farm was 119.03 acres in Dubuque County, IA which sold on February 21st. The farm was located South of Dubuque, Iowa and sold for $17,850/acre. This farm had a 73.1 CSR2 resulting in a $244.19/CSR2 point by live and online auction. Tract two was runner-up selling at $15,750/acre which included an older two story farmhouse, outbuildings, barns, grain bins and 42.54 acres.
The next highest-selling farm went to Palo Alto County, Iowa. This 130-acre 95% tillable farm sold for $15,100/acre located South of West Bend, IA has a 75.6 CSR2 which totals $199.74/CSR2. This farm was sold by a live auction and online auction at the West Bend Golf and Country Club on February 22nd.
The third high-selling farm goes to Benton County, Iowa located North of Newhall, Iowa. The auction took place on February 23rd at the Newhall Main Park Pavilion Community Center. 244.05 acres sold for $14,100/acre. This farm has an 87.3 CSR2 rating resulting in a $161.51/CSR2 point.
