A total of 3,244.69 acres were sold in Iowa this week. The average price per acre for the 31 tracts of land auctions is $12,282.42/acre and $159.12/CSR2 point. Learn more about CSR2.
How much is farmland in Iowa worth currently?
This week’s top-selling farm went to 143.87 acres in Sioux County, IA which sold on September 7th by auction. This farm is located West Alton, Iowa and sold for $20,450/acre. The CSR2 rating of the farm is 91.7 which totals to be $233.01/CSR2 point on this 100% tillable farm.
The second highest selling farm that sold this week went to Dallas County Northwest of Granger, IA. This 157.12 acre farm sold for $17,600/acre and is 93% tillable. CSR2 rating on this farm totaled 87.8 which puts sale price $200.46/CSR2. Also included on this farm was a 26’x48x pole building built in 2010.
Third highest selling farm of the week is located in Audubon County Southwest of Coon Rapids, IA. This 120 acre farm sold for $17,400/acre or $215.08/CSR2 point.
