Iowa Farmland Prices September 9th-15th, 2023 Report
A total of 3,805 acres were sold in Iowa this week. The average price per acre for the 32 tracts of land auctions is $11,155/acre and $170.08/CSR2 point. Learn more about CSR2.
How much is farmland in Iowa worth currently?
This week’s top-selling farm went to 97.67 acres in Benton County, IA which sold on September 12th by auction. This farm is located South of Keystone, Iowa North of Highway 30 and sold for $20,900/acre. The CSR2 rating of the farm is 95.6 which totals to be $218.62/CSR2 point on this 100% tillable farm.
The second highest selling farm that sold this week went to Mahaska County East of Pella, IA. This 160 acre farm sold for $18,000/acre. CSR2 rating on this farm totaled 74 which puts sale price $243.24/CSR2.
Third highest selling farm of the week is located in Fayette County South of West Gate, IA. This 80 acre farm sold for $17,600/acre by absolute auction (no reserve price). This farm included an acreage with a 1,116 sq. ft. house built in 1900 with 3 bed and 1 bath.
